MACCLIMA Project

MAC-CLIMA aims to consolidate an international scientific observation network in the region in order to define coordinated strategies for climate, atmospheric and oceanographic monitoring. These strategic measures will strengthen resilience and preserve vital resources of the region's populations, such as water supply, productive sectors, coastal infrastructure against rising sea levels, public health, biodiversity and many other areas where changes are expected due to climate change. The resulting diagnoses will make it possible to propose adaptation and mitigation policies for this phenomenon in all territories that may be affected by this type of disaster. The project will also promote citizen participation and knowledge about the risks and impacts caused by global warming in the cooperation area.
