SAFE Project

The main objectives of this project are to research and develop an information and communication platform capable of controlling and monitoring football fans' access to football stadiums during a pandemic and maximizing the fan's experience in a real-time context during matches. football, providing data and facts about the game that can increase the experience of the match, also using gamification mechanisms for this purpose.

This project intends, from a multidisciplinary collaboration, integrating specialists in the field of human-computer interaction, engineering, health sciences, sports sciences, computer sciences and design to perfect a health and entertainment application for mobile devices with a focus on infectious diseases adapted to the Autonomous Region of Madeira and to improve the experience during a football match.

The implementation of this type of digital mobile technology prioritizes, on the one hand, effective response in the surveillance and response to outbreaks of infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. On the other hand, it allows the satisfaction of the needs and desires of football fans to be maximized, who, in real-time, will be able to have access to a set of information about the game and better understand the sequence of events.
